Day 3:<\/span><\/strong>
(Part of the Actionary Series \u2014 Tools for Thinking in Play<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PatternChooser<\/strong>, the second installment in the Actionary<\/strong> series of tools designed to help game devs \u2014 including myself \u2014 spark creativity when inspiration runs dry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve only been working on the project for three days (just a few hours each day), but I\u2019m thrilled with how much progress Spruce \u2014 my AI partner \u2014 and I have made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were a few hiccups with DALL\u00b7E getting the main page layout just right, but since I\u2019m comfortable with HTML\/CSS, I can fine-tune the elements manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dall-E was having a bit of a problem getting the layout of the main screen just right, so I recreated in Adobe Comp what was in my head.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Though I thoroughly described how I wanted the layout to look, and recreated the layout in Adobe Comp, this is the best DALL-E could muster.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to layouts, I give DALL\u00b7E grief, but honestly, without it, I\u2019d still be stuck at the drawing board. This layout is functional, clear, and only needs a few small tweaks before I move forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tonight\u2019s build came together fast. Spruce knew exactly what I meant, and he delivered. It\u2019s still barebones \u2014 but it\u2019s a solid foundation for what\u2019s next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
